Junior Assistant Job at office of Accounts and Treasuries, Assam

A new notification has been published for recruitment of six numbers of Junior Assistant at the office of Accounts and Treasuries, Assam. As mentioned in the notification, interested candidates are invited to apply through standard form as prescribed in part-IX of Assam Gazette. Here, you will get all the informations regarding required educational qualifications, application procedures etc for the vacant positions.

Pay Scale : Rs. 5,200-20,200/- with Grade Pay Rs. 2,200/-.
Reservation : Unreserved-3, OBC/MOBC-2 and ST(H)-1.

Educational Qualification


To be a eligible candidates for the said position, he or she must posses the following educational qualifications.
  • Candidates must qualify HSSLC from a recognized board.
  • They must have a diploma in Type writing with minimum typing speed of 40 words in case of English and 30 words in case of Assamese.
  • Not necessarily, but it is desirable to have a diploma in Computer Application, knowledge about basic computing like DTP, Power Point, Word etc.

Age Limit


As per the published advertisement, the age of the candidates should not be less than 18 years and more than 38 years. The age will be count as on 1st January, 2013. For applicant belonging to reserved category, the upper age limit will be relaxed as per rule.

Applications have to be submitted through the prescribed standard form as mentioned above. Application form must be sent in envelop along with two self addressed stamp envelop of Rs. 5/-. While sending, the name of the post applying for, should clearly be mentioned like ' Application for the Post of Junior Assistant'. Selection Procedure


Selection of the candidates will be made through a written examination followed by a oral interview. The successful candidates in the qualifying examination will be called for oral interview. The written examination will carry questions from the following subjects-
  1. General English
  2. General Knowledge
  3. Arithmatics
